Snakes and Slow worms

Frequently asked questions about Slow worms:

How do I encourage Slow Worms into my garden?

Slow Worms, like all reptiles, need places for basking in the sun, foraging for food and sheltering and hibernating in.  They can often be found basking and sheltering on/in stone piles, under garden detritus or in short vegetation.  They spend much of their time foraging in longer vegetation, under wood piles or grass cuttings.  A variety of habitats and vegetation heights is the key.
