Snakes and Slow worms

Frequently asked questions about Slow worms:

Slow Worm habitat is threatened, what can be done?

Slow Worms, like all native reptiles, have a degree of legal protection so if they are discovered on a site steps must be taken by the developers/ planners to ensure individuals will not be killed or injured.  Make sure your records are known and contact the local Wildlife Trust or Amphibian and Reptile Group (ARG) for historic species records.  Always make your objections known as soon as possible.

If your question has not been answered or you require more information please contact the Wildlife Information Service on 01733 558960 or info@froglife.org
