We are always looking out for more people to join our Wildlife
Ambassador programme - a training scheme with a difference!
Volunteering with us should always be fun so our aim is to give
you as much control as you would like over the activities, and
the direction of the programme, so that you get the most from
it.
Always wanted to get involved with outdoor woodland crafts like
willow weaving or hedge laying but not had the opportunity to
try it? Do you have an artistic side but no-one to share or
explore it with? Impressed by the photos you see in magazines
but never thought you could take anything that good?
You choose what you want to do from a massive range of
activities and we’ll help you achieve it.
We expect Ambassadors to spend between one and three days per
week volunteering on the programme, but this will include time
you spend coming up with ideas or trying things out at home.
We are targeting people of all ages who are not currently
studying, training or employed, as well as the following
selected communities throughout Peterborough:
Bretton North, Bretton South, Central Ward, Dogsthorpe, East
Ward, North Ward, Orton Waterville, Orton Longueville, Paston,
Ravensthorpe, Stanground Central, Stanground East and Werrington
North.
We will continue to offer you opportunities after you graduate
from Wildlife Ambassadors, in order to help you start new
careers, or amateur interest, in wildlife conservation, or to
develop skills and experiences you’ve discovered through the
Ambassadors programme.
