Swimming with Dragons is quite literally an immersive learning experience, allowing children the opportunity to imagine and experience some of the challenges faced by amphibians living in ponds. Dragon Finder will be transforming swimming pools and lidos across London into a larger than life pond scene using our giant lily pad, snake and tadpole floats, along with a fantastic array of other props and toys. Come along and see what life is like in a British pond and take part in our tadpole-to-frog relay race, newt egg hunt or pond treasure hunt.

These fun educational swimming sessions not only teach children about the lifecycle and habitat of frogs, newt and snakes, but also build up children’s’ water confidence, and help them to learn essential swimming skills.

The sessions are suitable for school groups, kids clubs and family groups of up to 30 people. Participants need to be able to swim 25 meters unaided – without the use of armbands.

Throughout the project, we’ve held sessions at:

We’ve held 16 Swimming with Dragons sessions so far, with over 500 children attending, having fun and learning more about amphibian and reptile conservation!
