Dragon Finder

Southton Smallholding

Froglife were kindly invited over to the Southton Smallholding near Perth in October 2014 to meet the group at the gardens.  The Smallholding offers therapeutic gardening activities for adults with learning disabilities – building self-confidence and encouraging a sense of community through their tasks.

The Smallholding had several existing ponds – Froglife talked to the group about amphibians and reptiles and gave some practical advice on making the ponds more suitable for frogs, toads and newts.  The group then got stuck in creating and decorating some wonderful Toad Abodes that will hopefully house some lucky amphibians through the cold months.
