Enjoy spotting butterflies and day flying moths and help us collect vital data for the National butterfly monitoring scheme. From the photogenic peacocks to the secretive green hair streaks, striking orange tips to subtly beautiful ringlets, come and learn about butterflies both common and scarce with our friendly group.
Our butterfly walk takes us around a range of habitats and pond types, if you’re lucky you can spot lizards and grass snakes along the way! If you peer into a pond you might be rewarded with the sight of a great crested newt or a smooth newt coming up for air.
Please get in touch if you would like to join us. If the weather is too windy or rainy for butterflies to fly we reschedule to a better day so check with Ross if unsure.
