Green Pathways Scheme


What are the project's aims?

  • Help develop the basic skills of young people, including their social and communication skills, literacy, numeracy and practical skills

  • Increase their confidence and self-esteem through developing their conservation skills and knowledge

  • Work towards the Youth Achievement Awards Scheme designed to encourage young people to progressively/pro-actively take responsibility for selecting, planning and leading activities based on their interests

  • Participate in conservation events organised by the young people in the project

  • Take part in a number of site visits to various locations in Peterborough and the surrounding area

  • Develop a lifelong interest in conservation leading to potential employment opportunities in an exciting and valuable employment sector.
