Water
is crucial for all life on Earth. As freshwater it exists in lakes and
rivers, as well as in man-made features like reservoirs, canals, ditches,
ponds and gravel pits. These
habitats are disappearing. In the UK
alone more than one-third of ponds have disappeared in the latter half of the
last century. Our work benefits people too. By involving local communities and encouraging local involvement, Froglife is making the future better for ponds and for wildlife. Better for us all. For more details on this work: Daniel
