In 2008 Froglife took to Scotland to initiate projects that
benefit wildlife and encourage the public to volunteer with on
the ground conservation work to help amphibians and reptiles.
Liam McArthur, MSP for Orkney and the Liberal Democrat
Spokesperson on Environment, Rural Development and Energy,
circulated a motion to the Scottish Parliament ministers welcoming Froglife to
Scotland.

Work kicked off with the
Glasgow Living Water project, which aimed to create and
restore ponds and other habitats across the city. Building on
the success of this, the
North Lanarkshire Living Water project began in 2011.
