Amphibians and reptiles are crucial players in the UK’s natural history. They are vital parts of the foodweb and ‘canaries in the coalmine’ for the health of our ecosystems.

Yet globally and in the UK many of these species are disappearing as a result of a number of human-induced threats. 

Habitat loss, pollution, disease and a lack of
appreciation and understanding have all played their part.
