Toads on Roads

The Toads on Roads project has been running for over twenty years and we know of around 880 toad migratory crossings.

The easiest way to find out if a crossing is already registered, or to find the crossing closest to you is by looking at our maps:

O Active map:
Crossings on this map are considered active - there are definitely toads using them and there may be a local Patrol.

O Unknown maps:
Many of the people who've registered sites with us in the past have not kept in touch so there are lots of sites that we have no recent information on. If you can update us, please get in touch...

O Inactive map:
These sites were historically registered as toad crossings but we have been informed that toads are no longer using the road. Let us know if you know differently.

O No sites near you?
If there is not an active Toad Patrol near you but you'd still like to help, remember you can always contribute to the Tuppence a Toad appeal and help us provide support for Toad Patrollers.
