Froglife organise a wide range of events throughout the year to suit people of all ages, abilities and levels of experience. Here you will find a list of our planned events and activities along with all the information you should need. Join Froglife and Dundee City Council and see our new pond at Tay View Gardens in Dundee. The pond was installed at the end of last summer and has been a great accompaniment to all the great developments going on at the gardens. The first part of the afternoon will be our time for pond planting – as we add some more plants to the pond and it’s margins.
After that we will be running a shortened survey training session – including a talk on the amphibians and reptiles we have in Scotland and a chance to identify any creatures that have already colonised the pond ready for spring.
Please book your spot on this day by using the contact details provided.
No experience necessary and all tools provided. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring suitable outdoor clothing and wellies are highly recommended. Some light refreshments will be on hand but please bring lunch if you need it.
Come Join Froglife and Dundee City Council and help us add some native plants to the new ponds added to the park in October 2017.
These ponds are now ready for some wildlife to colonise as spring approaches but are in need of plants so they can offer a great place for animals.
No experience necessary and all tools provided. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring suitable outdoor clothing and wellies are highly recommended (waders useful if you have them!). Some light refreshments will be on hand but please bring lunch if you need it.
Let us know if you plan to come along! Contact James on the details provided.
Please note this is a rescheduled day – originally postponed due to snow in March.
