This Biffa funded project will create substantial improvements for a series of seven public green spaces in Northamptonshire, focusing on Pocket and Country Parks. Many of the sites had ponds that had become over shaded or silted up through leaf fall which drastically reduces their value to wildlife. through tree works and excavator works Froglife were able to restore these ponds back to former glories. In addition there were opportunities to create new ponds to allow the existing amphibian populations to spread and to provide a variation in habitats.
A total of eight new ponds were created with seven ponds being restored.
