What we do

Green Pathways

Froglife’s Green Pathways scheme encourages young people to take part in positive activities linked to conservation and the environment in their local community.

This innovative project is now in its third incarnation based in Peterborough supported by BBC Children in Need and due to its outstanding success has now expanded to Glasgow with support from Young Start and The Robertson Trust as well as expanding to Kirklees with support from Kirklees Council and NHS North Kirklees and Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning groups. The idea behind the project is to use the outdoors to help young people manage difficulties in their lives whilst improving green spaces for wildlife and people. We work on their confidence, social skills and behaviour and at the same time improve their knowledge of the environment, enjoyment of the outdoors and transferable conservation skills. Both previous projects in Peterborough were majority funded by BBC Children in Need and supported by other smaller grants and donations.
