What we do

Volunteering on FACT

Froglife’s Active Conservation Team in Peterborough is on the look out for volunteers to help run our sessions for young offenders.  We are looking for volunteers who are passionate about being outside – whether on Hampton Nature Reserve, our allotment, a park or community garden – with a belief in giving young people a second chance in life.  Working on the project is a great way to learn new skills, meet interesting people and make a big difference to your local community.

Sessions run from Tuesdays to Saturdays, and last 3 hours.  A free Disclosure Barring Service check (a DBS check, formally known as a CRB check) and training on supporting vulnerable young people is available through the YMCA’s Better Together project, and will be required before you can start volunteering.

To have a chat about the sessions and how you can help, get in touch with our Reparation Officer James McAdie: 01733 602102 or james.mcadie@froglife.org
