The London Blue Chain team is inviting volunteers to take part in a pond creation day at ORTUS in Camberwell.
ORTUS is an inspiring and dynamic space where service users, researchers, students, clinicians and community organisations come together to learn, share ideas and explore approaches to mental health care, support and recovery. As part of wider plans to develop the garden into a space that benefits both people and wildlife, the London Blue Chain will be working on creating a brand new wildlife pond on site.
On the day, volunteers will help dig and shape the pond, learn about how ponds support urban wildlife, and take part in creating a new habitat that will become a long-term feature of the garden. No prior experience is needed – just a willingness to get stuck in and work outdoors as part of a friendly group.
If you’re interested in volunteering or would like more information, please email londonbluechain@froglife.org to register your interest.
