Working with communities across the Forth Valley, Froglife created a Mapestry, 12 map tapestries depicting local people’s ideas of local and natural heritage. Sessions were hosted across 12 different venues throughout Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire in 2020/21.
Come Forth for Wildlife delivered 25 Mapestry sessions with 813 attendees. Click below on each venue to see more.
Each Mapestry session was led by Froglife staff and an experienced textile artist, Maija Nygren.
Most of our materials to create the Mapestry are unwanted fabrics and textiles generously discounted from Edinburgh based ‘All Together Edinburgh’ – a social enterprise where funds are directed towards training those with learning disabilities – see more here.
