The London T.O.A.D team delivered a ‘toads on allotments’ session at Company Drinks in Barking and Dagenham in June 2019. This community-based company makes and distributes plant-based soft drinks and they grow all the plants on their site in Barking! We met 18 of their Grow Club members who had already decided to put a pond onsite and wanted our advice on the best way to proceed. Froglife was pleased to engage with such a diverse group, with a range of ages, abilities and backgrounds – from regular volunteers to family groups. The attendees were really engaged, particularly in the interactive part of the workshop, and had some great designs for allotments (picture; right).
