The London T.O.A.D team delivered 2 identifical wildlife workshops for early years demographic in Barra Hall Park, Hillingdon in August 2019. We combined our normal session with the local children centre’s activities to make a full and engaging event. Froglife did an amphibian talk, nature ramble, mask-making craft session and VR. Viv and other EYs practitioners supported us and led rhyme time and story time to round off the session (picture; bottom left). First time doing this event specifically for early years and the turn out was great – over 30 people at each. The children enoyed moving around like our animals with Kate (picture; right). On the nature ramble a smooth newt was spotted in the pond at the nearby gardens as well as fish and some invertebrate life!
