Visit Froglife at the Grow in Glenburn Community Garden Open Day! Ask your pond questions at our Pond Doctor Stall, learn more about the dangers of roads to wildlife through our exciting Virtual Reality Experience or attend our Wildlife Gardening Workshop to learn all about gardening for wildlife with an amphibian and reptile focus.
You can visit the gardens throughout the event and check out growing ideas. Come enjoy tea / coffee and see a selection of plants for the garden.
As part of Renfrewshire Living Waters, Froglife will be in attendance at the Renfrew Gala Day. Come visit our Pond Doctor stall to ask your pond questions and find out how to create ponds for wildlife. Or experience the journey of a Common Toad crossing a wildlife tunnel with our new Virtual Reality exhibition. During the event we will also be hosting one Wildlife Gardening Workshop where attendees can learn all about gardening for wildlife skills.
Froglife will be at RSPB Lochwinnoch’s bio-blitz event – find us down at the pond to try some pond dipping and see what lives beneath the surface! You can pick up lots of tips and skills on how to identify different amphibian species of Scotland and try our amphibian identification quiz to learn techniques to help your future surveys!
This course looks at the life cycles and habitat requirements of our native reptile species. It will provide you with a good grounding in the knowledge and skills you need in order to competently carry out surveys for Adder, Grass Snake, Common Lizard and Slow-worm.
The day includes a theory session alongside the opportunity to practice surveying in the field.
