Froglife seeks a local creative artist in Boston or willing to travel to Boston, who can work on our exciting project, Neighbourhood Wildlife Corridor: Boston and Beyond.
The artist will engage people across Boston and create two collaborative art pieces (speaking sculptures) to raise awareness of local biodiversity and celebrate nature in Boston.
The artist will plan and deliver workshops for the ‘speaking sculptures’ element of the project, and work with the project manager to achieve this, and finalise the art pieces to a standard to be ready for installation in a public place.

2. London Blue Chain Project Trainee
Join Froglife and start your career in wildlife conservation
Froglife are recruiting two full-time paid trainees to join the London Blue Chain project – an exciting conservation initiative working across South London to improve habitats for wildlife and engage local communities.
This 12-month traineeship is designed for people looking to take their first step into a career in conservation. You’ll gain practical experience, training, mentoring and the opportunity to lead your own conservation and engagement projects.
The project works along the Green Chain through Bexley, Greenwich, Bromley, Lewisham, Southwark and Lambeth.
Key Information
Salary: £24,960 per annum
Contract: 12 months
Hours: Full-time (including some evenings and weekends, with TOIL provided)
Location: Hybrid working – a mix of home working, on-site work and local offices across Southeast London
Reporting to: London Blue Chain Project Manager

About the Role
As a trainee, you’ll gain hands-on experience across all aspects of the London Blue Chain project, including:
- Habitat management and pond creation
- Wildlife surveying and monitoring
- Working with schools, colleges and youth groups
- Supporting volunteers and community groups
- Event planning and delivery
- Conservation education and public engagement
- Administrative and desk-based tasks
You’ll also receive training in areas such as habitat management, species identification, surveying techniques, first aid and safeguarding.
During the traineeship, you’ll develop and deliver your own conservation and engagement projects with support from the Froglife team.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for enthusiastic people with a strong passion for wildlife conservation and a desire to build a career in the sector.
You should be:
- Motivated and proactive
- A strong team worker
- Comfortable travelling across South London
- Confident communicating with a range of audiences
- Physically able to undertake outdoor practical conservation work
Preference will be given to people who are not currently employed within the conservation sector, but volunteering experience or a demonstrated commitment to nature conservation is highly desirable.
We particularly welcome applications from people currently under-represented in the conservation sector and from communities living within the project area.

3. Development Officer

Froglife are looking for a Development Officer to deliver the Scottish Green Pathways project across Glasgow, Inverclyde, Renfrewshire, and West Dunbartonshire. The project works with vulnerable and disadvantaged young people (ages 8 to 18, or up to age 25 if they have additional support needs) to learn about and improve their local green spaces for wildlife, especially amphibians and reptiles.

4. Green Talent Placement

Froglife is offering paid Placements for people interested in getting involved in conservation, thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the National Lottery players. The Green Talent project will transform wildlife habitats in green spaces across the most disadvantaged areas of Peterborough, with a focus on amphibians and reptiles. No previous experience is required, as through the Placement applicants will learn about habitat management and monitoring, and gain the skills and experience needed to secure employment in wildlife conservation, plus transferrable skills for other employment options.

Join us for an engaging visit to Boardwalks Nature Reserve, a site managed by Froglife, where you’ll explore an important habitat for amphibians and reptiles.
During the session, you will:
- Take a guided tour of the reserve and discover its unique landscape
- Learn about mosaic habitats and how they are carefully managed to support amphibians and reptiles
- Find out about the Green Talent 3-month paid placement position
- Meet and chat with current Green Talent trainees about their experiences
- Carry out some survey work as we peek under monitoring tiles (with the hope of spotting some sheltering amphibians and reptiles!)
