Wildlife Ambassadors was a project run by Froglife in Peterborough from 2010-2013. We had a grand finale with the BBC’s Nick Baker at the Green Backyard in August to celebrate the conclusion of this highly successful and inclusive project. We helped over 100 people not in education, employment or training learn new skills and discover amphibians and reptiles. One of the highlights of the project was seeing the Ambassadors sharing their knowledge about wildlife, ponds and other habitats through events – sharing newt lifecycles through National Science and Engineering Week and talking people though creating a pond at events all over the city.
We are still wrapping up the final evaluation, but you can find out more about Wildlife Ambassadors and what they got up to here.
Wildlife Ambassadors was coordinated by Laura Brady and supported by Jodie Coomber. Laura and Jodie have both moved on from Froglife, having done a fantastic job.
