Froglife
has led a number of successful London projects in recent years,
all of which gained national recognition for their community-led
focus.
Past projects include: a Pond Doctor service for schools, work
with the Youth Offending Service on allotment regeneration and
practical conservation projects with environmentally excluded
community groups.
Dragon Finder
This project, currently in development, will work across all
London boroughs, engaging communities, collecting data and
raising awareness.
Froglife is surveying for great crested newts at various sites
around London and aims to restore habitats for this important
species.
This ground-breaking project creating and restoring prime wildlife
habitats, with the help of networks of local volunteers, in
gardens and parks throughout the City has recently come to end.
Froglife leads a partnership of wildlife organisations in
ensuring that actions are put in place to save this disappearing
habitat in Greater London.
