About Kirklees Green Pathways:
The Kirklees Green Pathways Project worked with disadvantaged and vulnerable young people aged 16 – 25 years. Participants undertook practical outdoor activities to improve green spaces for wildlife and people resulting in education and enjoyment of their local environment. The project aimed to improve physical and mental wellbeing and support young people to increase their confidence, self-esteem, social skills and instil practical and transferable skills.
The project reached over 190 young people from across the Kirklees area. The project also reached other community organisations: support workers, school and college support staff, parents, local youth hostels and members of the community who have been interested and very supportive of our work.
