Bonnyfield Local Nature Reserve has an existing overgrown pond and several unlined ponds – the creation of a large lined pond at the reserve is a great addition for amphibians throughout the spring and summer months.
In October 2019 Froglife created a 10x8m pond for amphibians and other wildlife within the Local Nature Reserve. This offers a different freshwater habitat to those existing on site that will prevail through the spring and summer – very important for breeding amphibians and their young.
The pond is now filled with rainwater and is a fantastic resource for amphibians and other aquatic wildlife!
