Finlay Russell Park in Falkirk now benefits from the creation of ponds and scrapes for the benefit of amphibians and other wildlife completed in December 2019 amidst some very wet conditions! A large strip of wildflower meadow has been created to greatly increase the wildlife connectivity of the area with The Lade nearby. This wildflower was seeded and created in December 2019 and will be evident in the coming spring. In addition an area of the park will be planted with native scrub species with the help of volunteers to increase the cover available for wildlife in the area. Finlay Russell Park is within close vicinity of The Lade and Crownest Park.
