Our Pop-up Wildlife Gardening Workshops are now complete! To reach those not involved in allotments or community gardens but who may have their own garden or local greenspace, we held 12 Pop-up Wildlife Gardening Workshops. The workshops were hosted at busy locations across the Forth Valley such as shopping centres, town centres, large gardening outlets, festivals and other top local attractions. Over the course of the project we ran 12 Pop-up Wildlife Gardening Workshops, engaging with a total of 1,635 people.
These workshops are similar in nature to our Wildlife Gardening Workshops but are great for those dropping by who can take away an activity or two to help wildlife in their garden or activities on guerrilla gardening at their local green space. Of course if you’ve got more time you can learn all the fundamentals of wildlife gardening to make sure you can Come Forth for Wildlife in your garden!
Our final Pop-up Wildlife Gardening Workshop for the project was held at the Falkirk Producers Market in March 2023, were attendees could learn all about wildlife gardening amongst the local producers from the Forth Valley Region as well as creating their own mini wildlife homes!

In 2022, Pop-up Wildlife Gardening Workshops were successfully delivered at Falkirk Grahamston railway station in April, Menstrie Gala in June and the Tillicoultry Parish Church Community Garden Open Day in July! In 2021 we held Pop-up Wildlife Gardening Workshops at Sterling Mills Shopping Outlet, Jupiter Urban Wildlife Centre, the Falkirk Science Festival and Howgate Shopping Centre. Attendees learnt all about wildlife gardening for amphibians and reptiles, and could explore our own model wildlife garden demonstrating a space for people and wildlife. Keep an eye out for the final Pop-up Wildlife Gardening Workshop in 2023, due at the Falkirk Producers Market in March.
