Come Forth for Wildlife’s Virtual Reality Exhibitions will reach 8,800 people over at least 10 exhibitions held throughout the project.
During these exhibitions you can experience life as a Common Toad when trying to cross a road and learn more about the dangers of roads to wildlife including amphibians and reptiles. When will wildlife be given the green light? Our roads make great efforts protecting people when crossing but this same protection is not afforded to our wildlife.
We have so far engaged 8,822 people at 23 Virtual Reality Exhibitions.
This year we have brought the exhibition to The Battle of Bannockburn Centre in Stirling, visitors to the centre loved learning more their local natural heritage amongst the fantastic setting where they also learnt about the historical heritage of Bannockburn and Scotland!
In 2022 we took the virtual reality experience to numerous exciting events across Forth Valley; Arnprior Farm, Mugdock Country Park, Stirling Science Festival at the Thistles Shopping Centre, Balmaha Visitor Centre, Wander the World, Killearn Horticultural Show, Tillicoultry Gala Day, Wild Bannockburn, the Bridge of Allan Allotments Open Garden Day, Alloas First Friday Market, Stirling Farmers Market, Stirling Railway Station and the Falkirk Producers Market. These have all been fantastic events with many folk both enjoying the virtual reality experience and learning more about the issues at hand too.
If you missed us previously then you can see all events here for exhibitions coming up.
