London T.O.A.D. teamed up with Michael Faraday Primary school to deliver the first full T.O.A.D Tails programme since the pandemic started. The first session brought two classes to Burgess Park as we explored the life cycle of a toad and thought about where they might live. We explored the pond, the long grass, the forest area and the children gained a good understanding of habitats.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the classes could not perform their final play to another year group. Instead they performed to each other to show off all the lines that they had learnt within the space of a week between sessions two and three! Everyone was really impressed and the children celebrated each other’s successes in the most lovely way! It was so difficult to part ways with such a passionate group, that we booked in an extra session of pond dipping at a nearby nature garden and ended up finding dozens of froglets and tadpoles – the perfect way to end the T.O.A.D Tails programme.
