Froglife is directed by a board of Trustees, who are also Directors of Froglife Ltd. The Trustee panel is made up of experts from different relevant disciplines who make strategic decisions about the work of the organisation and our finances, coordinated by the Chair of Trustees. They meet 4 times a year, with one of these also being the Annual General Meeting for the Trust. Our accounts are signed off after auditing at the meeting in December, with the Annual Review of what has been achieved in the previous year released in January.

Our Trustees:

  • Inez Smith (Chair of Trustees)
  • Prof. Roger Downie (Vice Chair of Trustees)
  • Xavier Mahele
  • Frank Clark
  • Dr. Phil Wheeler
  • Gordon MacLellan
  • Dr. Silviu Petrovan
  • Rich Yates
  • Melissa Solly
  • Dr. Charlotte Regan

Froglife is managed on a day to day basis by the Chief Executive Officer who is supported by the Senior Management Team and Finance Team. The Senior Management Team are responsible for delivering the strategic direction of Froglife as approved by the Board of Trustees. Froglife’s strategy is reviewed every 3-5 years and is supported by a 3 year business plan.

The rest of the work force is generally made up of project staff, who are funded through grants to undertake specific projects. These projects will have ambitious targets to create habitats, gather new data and reach new audiences. Each project is evaluated and developed to inform the next step in Froglife’s strategy. We are also supported by a range of volunteers, who enable us to work towards our vision by helping in our offices, out on projects and in their local area.

Froglife is an active member of Scottish Environment LINK and Peterborough Plus.

Froglife’s head office is in Peterborough, with Froglife Scotland based in and around Glasgow.
